Little Smarties

As a homeschooling mom, I often wonder where my kids measure in their development. I often look for typical standards for education and have also found some fun sites about mental development.
I realize that some people find these sites an extra pressure and many would say that we shouldn't compare. That is partially true, but for me, I like to know what my children can accomplish! If I see that there is an area we are a bit behind in we can put more focus into that area. After all, we are their only teachers and teaching is fun! When Isaiah was a baby, I had no idea what was normal for each stage. Sites like these always gave me ideas for things that we could do together.
Now it's Emma's turn. I think we'll start working on that tricycle riding!!
Call me silly, but I think my kids can do anything if given enough encouragement. :)

Here are a few that I have appreciated recently.
